AMA/ATVA 2011 Season Banquet
The boys were happy to receive their awards and see their friends at the AMA/ATVA banquet.  They are already looking forward to the 2012 season!
 
Brandon's First Win!!
It was Saturday Night Supercross  at Evansville under the lights when Brandon won his first race on his Hetrick Racing' s 50 limited!  With only four laps of practice on this newly reworked track he was able to come home going 1-1. 

D J was proud of his little brother and he too left Evansville with a first overall victory.  A great weekend for the Bassani Brothers!

Suzzex, New Jersey's DJ Bassani laid waste to the 70 CVT class by winning 8 of the 11 rounds. For his efforts, he claimed the national championship.

Brandon and DJ wrapped up the season in great fashion at Loretta Lynn's. DJ swept the motos in the 70 Mod (6-11) and 70 CVT (6-11).  Brandon ran hard earning a 4/8 - 7th overall.

DJ wrapped up the 70 CVT (6-11) championship this weekend with another 1/1 weekend!  Bandon finished a very strong 4th after a 2nd and 5th in the motos.  One more round, see you in Loretta's!

Unadilla ATV National - 7/14/2011 - New Berlin, New York

DJ finally made it onto the podium with his Wiley Mods Cobra!  Special thanks to Paul Mara for all his encouragement, patience, support and giving DJ nothing but the best to ride!  We struggled this past week again with issues on the cvt in both motos. The first moto we had shock issues and during the second moto DJ tried to salvage a good finish after he felt his axle was bent while in the air on the first jump.  Unfortunately, it snapped on the sky shot during the first lap.  Disappointed but looking forward to Red Bud!

Round 8 AMA ATVA National Championship - Sunday Creek - 6/30/2011 - Millfield, Ohio
As you can see by the results, it was a great weekend for Brandon.  He came out of Ohio with his best finish of the season with a third overall.  Unfortunately, DJ did not have the luck his brother did.  Although he had to contend with the rain and mud during his first motos, his second day proved to be a great comeback with a first and a second!  On to the gravity cavity!

Well it was an exciting time at Millville!  Brandon s second motto came down to a photo finish.  He came out second in the hole shot and held onto it until the last twenty feet.  It was a great battle to watch!

DJ had two impressive wins in the 70 CVT class....looks like he's back to his old self.  Finally.....a hole shot in the 70 mod class!  He's looking more and more comfortable on his Wiley Mods Cobra!

Can - Am Steel City - 5/19/2011 - Delmont, PA
 DJ hammered the field again this week with a win in the 70 CVT (6-11) class and 2nd in the 90 Auto Jr (8-11).  DJ has won 5 of 6 70 CVT races and has a 36 point lead in the championship. Brandon put in a very consistent ride with 7th in both motos and overall.  Congrats on a great ride for both boys!

AMA ATVA National Championship
- ITP Sunset Ridge - 5/5/2011 - Walnut, Illinois
 DJ Bounced back this weekend with a dominating win in the 70 CVT (6-11) class and 2nd in the 90 Auto Jr (8-11).  Brandon came back strong with a 2nd in moto 1 and 5th in moto 2 to earn a 4th overall.

 Muddy Weekend Results.  Brandon came down with a virus first thing Friday morning and fought it all weekend.  DJ was leading 90 Auto Jr in the mud and muck but unfortunately had a mechanical.  After his race they called off all the minis for the day.  Sunday, it was clear that  Dj was getting Brandon's virus and was really not feeling well.  We look forward to bouncing back in Walnut Illinois on May 7-8 2011.

The boys headed to Round 1 of the nationals this weekend.  DJ ran 3 classes and brought home 3 moto wins and 1 overall win!  Brandon's consistency earned a great  4th overall!  Way to go guys

DJ and Brandon went to Englishtowns annual Fall Classic!  A beautiful weekend and great racing!  Brandon had some great holeshots and an overall 8th place finish.  DJ had a 1st and a 2nd  in the 70 cvt class coming home with a 2nd overall finish.

ATVA Youth Rider of the Year!

An unexpected award-we were all surprised when they announced DJ was chosen as youth rider of the year!

Brandon returned to his local track at Walden.  He didn't complain a bit riding in the 40 degree weather.  He came home  from their annual Halloween race with a fourth place finish, a new t-shirt and lots of candy!
 
Brandon and DJ raced this past Saturday night at Evansville Supercross.  Brandon made it on their podium.

Unfortunately, DJ did not have the finishes his brother did.  We saw smoke on the second lap.  His quad actually caught on fire.  Damages weren't repairable for second moto.
 
ATV Racin' Extra ... Hetrick Racing Youth Racer Dominates
2K10 Hetrick Racing rider DJ Bassani not only won each moto in the 50cc CVT, but pulled every hole shot as well. The New Jersey based rider proved to be the top gun in his division.
Bassani didn’t even have to race the division after his round 8 perfect record win. At this point, the young rider is placed second in the 70cc CVT. Bassani is now looking for a good finale at Loretta's in mid-August.
Hetrick Racing has been a strong force in the 50cc classes for quite some time. This year proved to be no exception. “Winning the moto has a great deal to do with the power of the ATV and a great rider. We have both this year,” said Hetrick Racing owner,  Rich Hetrick.
“The 50cc engine is very different than the 70 and 90. You cannot just bolt it together and expect it to work; the engine actually has to be built."
"That’s what separated our 50 from the pack this year."
 
ATV MOTOCROSS NATIONAL CHAMPION!!!
DJ Bassani is the 50 CVT (6-8) National Champion!!!!  DJ also finished 2nd in the 70 CVT (6-11) class.  DJ racked up an amazing 13 overall wins in 19 races in the two classes.  He won 8 straight races in the 50 CVT (6-8) with 16 perfect moto finishes.
ATV Dirt Days at Loretta Lynn's - 8/13/2010 - Hurricane Mills, Tennessee
DJ Bassani finished the season with a win in the 70 CVT (6-11)class and 2nd in the 90 CVT (8-15) class.  Brandon Bassani took home a 13th place in the 50 Limited Jr (4-6) class.
 
ATV National at Unadilla- 7/16/2010 -New Berlin, New York
DJ brought home two podium finishes this weekend.  He finished 2nd in the 90 Automatic Jr. (8-11) class and 2nd in the 70 CVT (6-11).  Brandon Bassani finished strong with a 13th place finish in the 50 Limited Jr class. 
 
ATV National at Pleasure Valley - 7/1/2010 - Armagh, PA
DJ Bassani continued his perfect season in the 50 CVT (6-8) class.  DJ's victories further extends his lead in both classes for the overall series.   Brandon Bassani took home his 6th straight top 10 finish in the 50 Limited Jr class.  
 
Toyota of Kingsport Southern National at Muddy Creek - 6/18/2010 - Blountville, TN
DJ Bassani continued his perfect season in the 50 CVT (6-8) class and backed up last weeks win in the 70 CVT (6-11), his 2nd in moto 1 and 1st in moto 2 ensured his overall victory.  DJ's victories further extends his lead in both classes for the overall series.   

Brandon Bassani once again finished in the top 10 in the 50 Limited Jr class.  His 6th in moto 1 balanced a 10th in moto 2 resulting in 8th overall.

DJ Bassani Jersey Bomber
Back up, stand out of his way, because he's coming through. Or, you might venture to say, the "Jersey Bomber" is on the track and he's laying waste to the competition like a WW2 ace pilot knocking off Jap fighter planes like they were sitting ducks in an arcade. Bassani's his name, and domination in the 50cc ranks is his game.

Racing out of Sussex, New Jersey, this young ATV racer has proven himself in the past and is proving himself once again in the 2010 MX Nationals. Known as DJ, and looked up to by numerous young aspiring racers, Bassani has built himself a reputation as a competitor of the highest level.
ATV National at Spring Creek - 6/10/2010 - Millville, MN
DJ Bassani continued his domination of the 50 CVT (6-8) class with a clean sweep of the motos and of course the overall win!!   DJ also brought home a win the 70 CVT (6-11) class!!!  Headed into TN, DJ is in 1st in both classes for the series. 

Brandon Bassani continues to improve as evidenced by his best finishe of the year, an 8th place in the 50 Limited Jr class.  Good job Brandon!
ATV Stampede, Steel City Raceway, 5/27/10, Delmont, PA
Little Brandon Bassani rocked an 8th and 9th place finish in the motos at Steel City to bring home a top 10 finish!!  Way to go Brandon

Big Brother DJ Bassani continued his domination of the 50 CVT (6-8) class with a clean sweep of the motos and of course the overall win!!  DJ has a 26 point lead in the North Challenge, 29 point lead in the South Challenge and an amazing 73 point lead in the overall championship chase!!!!  DJ brought home another runner up position in the 70 CVT (6-11) class and is only 15 points out of the championship lead.  He will keep the pressure on the leader.

Sunset Ridge National - 5/13/2010 - Walnut, IL
DJ swept both motos for the overall win in the 50 CVT (6-8) class.  This win puts him 59 points clear in the series championship and continues his undefeated streak!  In the 70 CVT (6-11) class DJ used a 4th and 2nd in the motos to earn a 2nd place overall finish. 

Brandon is still smiling after combining an 8th and 9th in the motos for an overall 9th place in the 50 Limited Jr. (4-6) class.
  Hetrick Racing's DJ Bassani Goes 1-2 
Again, team 2K10 mini quads showed they can win and run up front against the best riders in the country.
In the 50 cvt class, DJ Bassani dominated the competition from the gate drop to the checker flag in both motos. It appeared that the rider, in combination with his Hetrick Racing built DRR, was the young man to beat in the 50 cvt division.

RV Outlet-Keystone Rapture ATV National - 4/29/2010 - Birch Creek Southerlin, VA
 DJ Bassani continues to dominate the 50 CVT (6-8) class with his third straight national event win and his 6th straight moto win.  He has a 29 point lead in the series.  Just like Round # 2 DJ won moto 1 and finished 2nd in moto 2 of the 70 CVT (6-11) class resulting in a 2nd place overall. DJ is 1 point behind in the series.

Brandon Bassani took home his first top ten finish of the season.  He finished 10th overall after taking 10th in moto 1 and 9th in moto 2.

 DJ Bassani dominated the 50 CVT (6-8) class at Rd 1 & continued the sweep in Rd 2 with two moto wins and the overall.  DJ won the first moto in 70 CVT (6-11) class and a second in moto 2 giving him a second place overall.  Another Great weekend for DJ!

Brandon Bassani continues to get a feel for the national series in his first full series.  His 13th place finish in the 50 Limited Jr (4-6) class is on target for what is a great learning opportunity for our young rider. 
Bassani Racing Dominates FMF ATV Spring National!

DJ Bassani was dominate at Rd #1 of the ATV Nationals.  DJ won both the 70 CVT (6-11) class and 50 CVT (6-8) class.  What a way to start.  

Brandon Bassani hit the track for his first full national series in the 50 Limited Jr (4-6) class and brought home a strong 12th place finish ... way to go Brandon!!
